We are first generation Italian in the USA with roots from Florence (Tuscany), Genova (Liguria), and bisnonni (great grandparents) from Messina (Sicily) and Chieti (Abruzzo). We have been sharing our Italian culture in the USA since 2004, but more recently in 2019 when we opened Gelatolicious. Since then, we believe everyone deserves the pleasure of an Authentic Artisan Gelato, so we devote ourselves to what we do best: Artisan Gelato.
What is Artisan Gelato? Artisan Gelato is an Italian frozen dessert made from scratch, on premises, combining our passion and attention to detail while using the highest quality natural ingredients. We do not use artificial ingredients and/or pre-made mixes (a common practice nowadays in the industry…we don’t put our Italian heritage at risk and guarantee you the Best Tasting Artisan Gelato!)
Our Master Gelatieri, Roberto, an Italian Citizen (Jus sanguinis), born and raised in Venezuela is first generation immigrant in the USA. Roberto grew up close to his beloved nonna Berenice (Tuscan nonna). At a young age, Roberto became fluent in the Italian language and gained a love for the magnificent world of scratch-made Italian food. The idea started with a hobby of making gelato at home in a small Italian-made gelato machine sharing with friends and family. Their feedback inspired Roberto to bring Artisan Gelato to the local community.
